renaming jpeg problems?

Renaming during download does not change the attributes of the file that is why this does not work. You can not do it at all as there is no way for the attributes of the file to be changed on the fly.

They are not trying to change the attributes, just the file name.  As long as they maintain the extension ".jpeg" they will be fine.

Save As, FILE NAME, and then ".jpeg"...

Yes I am not trying to change the extensions of the file....just to rename the file itself (ex.  pic12 and change it to Toshiba dvdr.jpeg)  It won't allow me to change the name when choosing save or save as.  When I try it here it produces an unknown file?  But if I just save it as is, then rename in the dir folder the image is fine?  I have saved and renamed before and it worked fine, but not for the last 7 or so months?
