SSDPSRV.exe provides Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP) and General Event Notification Architecture (GENA) services for Universal Plug and Play functionality. According to Denny Denham's site here it's probably safe to uncheck. If anything unexpected as a result simply go back in and check it again....
