UNSOLVED
XPS 410 Processor
I'm upgrading my 410 from the E6600 to either the Q6600 or the Q6700. The price difference is only 40 bucks difference. I have only heard people putting the Q6600 in the XPS 410, will the 410 support the Q6700.
Thanks in advance....also if anyone personally put the Q6700 in their XPS 410.

I put one in my XPS-410 back in December and it runs great.

Just to make sure I assuming you also put the Q6700 in your XPS410. If this is true do any of ya'll also have the 8800GTX in there along with the stock PSU. Thanks a bunch!!!DOUGLAS666

Yes I have an Evga 8800GTX card as well. I changed out my psu to a 850w Tough power unit. Three days after installing the new psu and Q-6700 the psu went bad and I pulled it and placed the original 375w Dell psu in untill I received a replacement psu. The original psu seemed to work fine and actually caused less case temps then the 850w psu, so I think you will be fine with the Dell psu.Thanks for the fast response makes me feel better about leaving the stock power supply in. And it seems even though Dell does not say the Q6700 is compaitable several users have upgraded to one easily (Dell only says the Q6600 is compatiable).
Last question but I assume you also have the 2.5.3 bios?
