Bypassing Suspend

I have the I7K and it suspends and turns all power and modems and stuff off when i put the top down. I recently downloaded a program that bypasses this and keeps the computer active when i put the top down. Is this bad for the computer? Can i leave it on to download or to allow it do things while the top is down over night? This will also allow me to watch DVD's without having to put the top down because it used to suspend. Is this safe? Thanks.

No, it's not bad for the computer, and yes, you can leave it on overnight. Many of us have been using Suspend Manager to do exactly that.

I want to turn off my suspend feature as well. What sofware is everyone using?
