Dell Studio XPS 1340 problem
I have a Dell Studio XPS 13. Laptop is about 3-4 years old and everything was fine until yesterday. I was working on my laptop and suddenly my screen went white and the laptop shutdown after a few seconds (3-4) and it smelled like something burned down. I tried to power it on after few minutes and it went on, the hdd signal lamp was blinking but when the display should show the dell logo the computer shut's itself down. Can someone help me find out which piece of hardware is faulty?

Hi,
thank you for your reply. I can't run diagnostics. It wont do anything, just powers on for few seconds and then shuts down. The service tag isn't visible anymore so I can't send it to you. Could the problem be in my display? Maybe he is faulty and preventing my laptop from normaly starting?

Hi dz3ko,
To isolate the issue, run diagnostics on the computer. (Restart the computer by holding down the FN + Power button simultaneously). Let the diagnostics complete.
Kindly private message me the Service tag. I will review your account and take the case forward.
