dell webcam not working properly

sir,

I have downloaded dell webcam from the link  ,which support team provided i.e .,  http://dell.to/YliTxg  and i have installed skype also.

When I installed my webcam it was working fine. But when I go for  videochatting in skype, at  that moment my webcam stops working and the other person with whom am chatting their video is seen ,but they can't see me , my screen appers black nd in the middle of our chat suddenly my system shutdows telling that the driver which you have installed is not compatible.

So please help me  and my os is    -   windows 7 64bit , ultimate.

please helppppppppppp  to sort out with this problem as early as possibleeeee

    May I know the exact system model so that I can help you?

    Does the webcam work with Dell webcam central?

    Hi Rajesh,

    This is system model -  XPS 15 (L501x) . normally if i use my webcam works with dell webcam central , but when i go for video chat in skype, it stops working.

    And my system shutdowns in the middle, giving a message that - recently installed software is not compatible , and the link which you gave, I have checked but no result.

    So kindly help me to fix this problem

    And I formatted my system  rescently , I have installed the following drivers:

    R292194, R292253, R292473 , R297049, R299115 , R304505, R309746

    can u suggest me if I have any more drivers in order to make webcam to work properly

    Hi poojaveerapaneni,

    Install the drivers according to the order given in the below link.

    Refer the following link which has the steps to install the drivers in correct order:

    You may need to reinstall the webcam software using the below link:

    If the issue persists, this can be an issue with the Skype application. You may try uninstalling and reinstalling Skype on the computer.

    Also, run diagnostics on Webcam from the below link:

    Under component select camera and click on Run diagnostics.

    HIiii,

    Thanks for  the reply.I have tried all your steps but still my webcam in skype is not working.

    I had run the diagnostics for camera, the result is that it has no problem.

    Can you tell me what could be the problem?

    can you plzz help me to solve this issue

    Hi poojaveerapaneni,

    Uninstall and reinstall the Graphic card drivers on the computer.

    • Click “Start”, type “Device Manager” in search and press enter.
    • In the “Device Manager” window, click the plus sign next to “Display Adapters” to expand it.
    • Under “Display Adapters”, right click “Intel HD Graphics”, click “Uninstall”.
    • Check the box “Delete driver software for this device”, click ok and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the Intel HD Graphics driver.
    • Restart the computer.
    • Under “Display Adapters”, right click the nVidia graphics driver, click “Uninstall”.
    • Check the box “Delete driver software for this device”, click ok and follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the nVidia Graphics driver.
    • Restart the computer.
