Drivers etc
Hi, can anyone please help me. I have a Dell inspiron 8600 which had windows vista on it and was very slow. I have clean installed XP Professional and now can't access the internet (BT Broadband). Obviously i am using someone else's computer to write this! What do i have to do to get drivers and software to get up and running on net? Have been on dell drivers site but so many on there i don't know which one's to download, or where to put them on new system etc. Please help!!!

There is only one wired driver - if you're looking for the wireless driver, open the compartment at the bottom of the system and visually check which card you have (the model number will be on the label). You will need to install the Dell notebook system software and chipset driver BEFORE you install the network drivers.
Also, you should not be using XP online at this point - all security updates for it ceased on April 9, 2014 - so it's an insecure OS at this point. In fact, you'll now find that many websites using SSL won't allow XP systems to connect to them any longer.
