Hard Drive problem?

Hello everyone,

I have posted a topic one year ago I think and the support was brilliant (DELL-Saurabh A was very very helpful and I really thank him) , they helped me get over my problem with the graphics. Anyway I have a new problem and I believe you can help me again. My laptop model is Dell Inspiron 15R N5010. The last two days when I restart my computer I get this message after loading the windows startup screen : Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is NTFS. One of your disks needs to be checked for consistecy. You may cancel the disk check, but it is strongly recommended that you continue. Disk checking has been cancelled. Please note I don't press any button to cancel the check it cancels on it's own. So I've read on different forums possible solutions. I might need to replace my hard disk I think but I want some answers from this forum. I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium and by the time I got this message I had some lags on games (it's not laptop's fault cause I've never had any problems nor internet's) . I have no problem to change my hard disk but I want to know if I will have to install windows 7 again. I also have started making backup from things I want to keep.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :) .

PS (Irrelevant) : Can I upgrade my RAM on this laptop model or put a second one?

Start with the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup).  Run an extended hard drive test.

The system can be upgraded to 2X4 = 8 G total RAM.
