What are you on, this thing looks like an i8600 permanently attached to a docking station.... ugliest darn thing I've ever seen .

And if Dell really listened to us, they would be supporting video upgrades in existing systems, perhaps even offering newer video cards in "outdated" form factors for those with older systems. Sure, they made a step in the right direction with the XPS, but its not there yet.

Your last point of course I fully agree with .

I take it as a sarcasm.

When reading it I was having a hard time deciding if he was being sarcastic or serious.... and settled on serious from some of the wording, but truth is I took a punt, as it could be taken sarcastically too.

I certainly hope he's talking about the specs too...... otherwise he obviously hasn't seen many other laptops on the market, thats for sure

Hm... well either if it is a sarcasm or not. It is all depends on what you think of it. Anyways I intended it to be a sarcasm. I know many gaming laptop, I think DELL XPS has the cr@piest design. It sits too tall on the table. It's like having a laptop with a small table with it. I watch the review from TechTv. Not that promising, but from my point of view, Dell is making a step.

I don't understand why Dell had to make a new design.  Computers like I8600, 8500, Precision M60, Latitude D800 has an external graphic card. This computers are very ideal to have video upgrade support.

I keep reading these threads where people want upgradeablilty in older systems, "Oh please provide a GPU upgrade in my Dell Inspiron 6000, which I brought 7 years ago".  Many of you don't know what it takes to make that happen.  It might be simple as soldering on a GPU or changing out the existing motherboard.  The price to do such an upgrade may not be worth it.  Say the GPU cost $250, throw in another $200 for labor and if the motherboard needs replacing $350 more bucks, (you following me here?).  It's like trying to install a Vette engine in a Chevette.  It can be done, but it's gonna cost more than its worth.

The customer will read it as a sarcasm and  Dell will read it as a complament
