Intel SD Host controller problem
So I have just got one of the new 2014 Inspiron laptops and I have an issue which I have been unable to resolve.
I have installed an SSD as the main HDD so I have had to reinstall windows. I have an error code 10 device cannot start error on the Intel SD HOST Controller as shown in the pic. I have installed all the drivers, I have tried disabling and re enabling the device but no joy.
What I dont understand is what is this for, the laptop has a realtek SD card reader and it works just fine. The error on the device manager says:
The drive is not ready for use; its door may be open. Please check drive %hs and make sure that a disk is inserted and that the drive door is closed.
There is nothing to close?
Anyway here is a screenshot, What can I do to fix this...

Hi tezza192,
It seems missing drivers on the system. , I’d suggest that you update BIOS and chipset driver on your computer to check for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, then download the BIOS from BIOS section and chipset from chipset section onto the system and install it.

Also, refer to the link below to install drivers in correct order for issue resolution.

I have installed all the available drivers in the downloads section and my bios is updated to the latest one on your website A01
My service tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed as per privacy policy>
Updating Bios made no difference

Hi tezza192,
The drivers seem to be not installed correctly or in the correct order. I would suggest you to reinstall the operating system on the system and then install the drivers in the correct order using the link below.

Hi tezza192,
Sorry for the delayed response as I was on sudden leave for sometime. It seems like the operating system is corrupted. I would suggest you to reinstall the operating system on the computer and install the drivers in the correct order.
