Keyboard not working

I really need some help.  My son has a Dell Inspiron 2500 notebook and all of a sudden none of the keys work.  I have tried troubleshooting the problem but have yet to find out the solution.  It was working fine when it suddenly just stopped working.  There is no longer a warranty so Dell cannot help me.  I hope someone has an idea of how to fix my problem.  thanks

Withing a month of buying my laptop a few yrs back (2500) the keyboard stopped working.  Dell replaced it under warranty.  Last yr it stopped again.  I let the laptop sit a few days and it started working again.  Have you had it off?  It seems something may have heated up.   So far so good except my hard drive that went south and my screen quit working

Hi,

Try to reseat it, no spills ? Also see if you can get into the Bios, as the OS may be corrupted and not letting it work. If you can get into the Bios, then the keyboard is working.
