KeyInclude Fails
Attempting to use the KeyInclude Recovery & Restore program on a Latitude E6530 laptop. After finally getting KeyInclude to work, I can go completely through to the Data Backup section (with successful checks along the way).
At the end of the Data Backup, which is Green Checkmark Successful, I'm also Orange Flagged: One of the tasks performed failed or has been cancelled. Details reports WDC drive info: Cannot get Smart status. The only option is to Restart--which I've done previously.
Thought that maybe this had to do w BIOS. Turned on SMART status in BIOS. No change. Verified that drive reports SMART data through a third party app.
Although I like the idea of KeyInclude for recovery, it's been a failure. There are multiple issues--most of which I've worked through--yet the idea is to Restore. I've now wasted 3+ hours on a not-yet-ready for prime time app.
If somebody has a solution to this, please submit! And NO: I'm NOT a ROBOT.

Given that the KeyInCloud is specific to that service tag, to answer your question. I haven't taken the time to generate a second key and download the generated bundle, to have to extract in 7Zip (because it errors in Windows Explorer (see separate posts about extraction errors)) to test.
What would be better is if there was logging internal to the app so that it could log to the mounted USB drive that backups are written to.
As I noted above: Great Idea but not ready for Prime Time.

I got an XPS 13 9350, used KeyIncloud to recover but got the message "Cannot get Smart status. Failed to repair boot files".
Please help me to solve the issue. Thanks a lot.

Do you mean the Dell Recovery & Restore (KeyInTheCloud) application? I do not see any reference to smart errors in its documentation. Have you replicated the issue on another system?
