Memory Integrity Test Failed

Good Morning,
 
Last night my laptop was unable to boot up. I run the diagnostics tool available at the dell star screen and I found my laptop had this error displayed when it perfomormed the XMATS32 Test
 
Error Code: 0123
Msg Error Code: 2000-0123
MSG: Memory Integrity Test Failed
Adress = 0_31FEE0A4h, Actual= FFFFFFF9h, Expected= FFFFFFFBh
Location = DIMM_A
 
Can somedbody help me out please?

If you're still under warranty contact Dell Support and have the memory replaced.  If not I'd suggest going to www.crucial.com and using their memory configuration tool to purchase new memory.
 
Now may be a good time to upgrade your memory too.

Before you do that, move the suspect DIMM to the other socket. If the error travels with the DIMM, it's faulty. If it does not, i.e., the memory tests fine in the other socket, it's the socket that's faulty - meaning the system board, not the DIMM.
