Missing Latitude XT Media Base Driver

Question

I have a Latitude XT running Windows XP. Yesterday I received the media base. Every time I dock the computer I get an 'Found New Hardware' message. The Wizard wants to help me install software for the 'TUB3410 Device' but I cannot seem to find any sofware for it. The media base did not come with any hardware installation disks. I purchased the media base through Dell.

Which one of these device drivers would be for 'TUB3410 Device'? I don't want to have to go back and reset my system will all new drivers if I don't need to.

I reinstalled all of the drivers and that did not fix the problem.  What did work was uninstalling XP Serivice Pack 3.

Same error with Vista Ultimate updated to SP2.  Any thoughts? Ken

Sorry I know this thread is a little old but that device is the docking station. I haven't gotten it fixed yet but that is what the missing device is.

I just D/L and installed:

Texas Instruments TUSB3410 USB to Serial Controller

In Windows 7 and all is well.
