I have an Inspiron 600m which has serviced me wonderfully until my Internet company sent me a much-needed updated wireless modem. Since then I've not been able to connect wirelessly (USB works great). I tried installing a newer version of PROSet/Wireless but it can't detect the Internet connection at all. I came back to Dell and reinstalled the upgraded PROSet/Wireless for my computer and it detects the wireless connection just fine but will not connect. Instead of taking the Password on the bottom of the modem (it will not accept letters - it asks for the "Device Ownership Password") it only accepts the 8 digit PIN. Once I get to the next screen and put in my modem's pass phrase, configuration always fails. ( I even tried all the different security options that 'page' offers me). Anybody got any ideas?
