Squeakes when charging and off.

Although it doesn't inhibit use. My dell inspiron 9400 / e1705 has always squeaked while off and charging. Now that it's been in the market place for a year has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal for the design? I have a maha advanced C9000 and the mosfets do also emit a high pitched squeak while charging the batteries so I'm just trying to find out if this is just an annoyance vs a bad part. On the bright side the sound goes away as soon as your charging and the laptop is powered on. (only occurs when the laptop is off and charging the sound becomes louder once the charge level is at 90% after 90% you can hear the charging pulse which is normal for LiOn technology)

My inspiron 6000 does the same thing.  I've always wondered what that sound was also. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer.

well I've been using my laptop for 1 year without problems except the little squeak so I guess it's normal in the design. Most people probably don't notice because the sound stops when you turn your computer on.
