1907FP AUO/Samsung Exchange Problem

Question

Has anyone gotten an AUO panel and had Dell give you a lot of grief on getting an exchange done.   The auo panel is unacceptable and its ludacris that dell is giving me an issue on getting an exchange done when the panel is being falsly advertised. Youd think with that kind of liabilty theyd want to make it right. I had also planned to buy a 2k laptop in the next couple of months but after this customer service I kinda doubt I will. All I want is a samsung panel that meets or exceeds the specs I paid for.   Dell CS is telling me I have to pay to return this montior then do another order and I could still get another AUO panel. How insane is that!   I pmed chris and hope he can help me like he has helped everyone else with the 2007FP issue, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had my issue.

I got lucky with my 1907fp...I was worried like all get out that I would have ended up with an AUO and not one that matched the specs from Dell product info...Their out is in the ' terms and conditions' documents...look at  #7 --'Changed or Discontinued Product'.  Just read through the paragraph and start boiling...sure does seem like  'bait and swich' to me...I'd be PO'd about it...Keep on 'em !
