2001FP diagonal screen door effect when in motion

Has anyone ever had this problem before?

When my display is in motion, such as a DVD, a game or just dragging a window around, I notice a diagonal screen door effect. This is basically the square screen door effect except turned 45 degrees in any direction to create a more diamond shape screen door effect. This only happens when the display is in motion and is most visible over blue surfaces. I have to be within a foot to notice this, but it is quite annoying. When over a white surface, the effect may still be there but it is barely noticable. This effect is also more prominent after powering on (or off then on) the screen. It tends to be less noticable after a few minutes.

I just got this screen, its an A0 revision. Can anyone help explain this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi rcrez

How long you have this monitor? The door effect is a problem on monitors. Some people when they find out about it, they just get a replacement.
There are other forums where people have experince this so you are not alone.
I think you should call Dell and ask for a replacement. I do not think faulty monitors can be fixed.
Dell has a 21 day replacement policy. If you had this 2001FP under 21 days, you can ask for a replacement and they send you a new 20inch monitor.
