2405FPW S-Video Quality

Could you please share your experiences with the S-Video or Composite input on the 2405FPW (or 2005FPW). I want to buy one but I can not find any information about the deinterlace algorithms used in it.
 
It would be very interesting to know how is the image quality with horizontal moving objects (soccer broadcasts, scrolling text). If the deinterlacing is bad you see a "comb" effect, every other display line is displaced, really ugly.

    The 2405FPW doesn't scale resolutions correctly through composite or component, say you're trying to watch a regular standard format program (NTSC 480i/480p) the image will be stretched in 5:4 aspect. Or if you wish to view a DVD in 16:9 mode the image will be squashed. This is all regardless of which mode you try to view the content from, 1:1, aspect, or stretch mode, they are all geometrically distorted and in the wrong aspect. This renders the added inputs as virtually useless.

    Thank you very much for this hint. I was not aware of this!

    I am in europe and my TV receiver can do 16:9 s-video output. The difference between 16:9 and 16:10 is about 11%. I tried this distortion watchin some AVI files. It is not really disturbing me a lot. My concern really is deinterlacing. This makes videos unwatchable.

    If I watch DVDs I use the PC and this assures distorionless movies.
