2709w input lag

Question

Hi,

I'm currently thinking about buying a 2709w monitor. However I'm concerned whether or not the monitor has the same input lag as the first revisions of the 2408wfp model?!.

The 2408wfp input lag is claimed to be fixed in the new a01 revision. Is there a similar fix in the rev 01 of the 2709w?

hi, the 2709w in rev00 is already better then the 2408wfp in rev00 because the 2709 has an average input lag of 47ms, anyway i also heard rumors about a rev 01 for the 2709w and i asked for it on this forum in a topic: http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=dim_monitor&thread.id=95274

but nobody has been able to tell me nothing

where we can read that in germany the rev01 of the dell 2709w is already aviable but we have not heard confirm from official channels of Dell

I hope this rev01 for the 2709w, if it exist, can reduce more the input lag, so i will buy this lcd :)

I just orderer the 2709w here in italy from dell's site, the delivery time is about 3 weeks so i think it's the new production, the rev01

@ uptown1111 : the lag in rev00 version is 47ms average, you can't feel that if you not compare with a crt. Nobody know if the lag changes in rev01, maybe dell has fixed the OSD issue only with this new firmware. But but no official information yet (jimmy-p ??)

How do you like it? How's the lag? How about oversaturation? Do you find that the wide gamut distorts the colors of your images?

I just received a 2709 monitor last week that had been on backorder for 2 weeks. The box has 9-12-2008 printed on it and it's still revision A00 and made in Mexico. Looks like revision A01 might not be available for a while here in the states.

I'm not a gamer so I don't notice any lag. I haven't set up the second one yet. It's an exchange. The first one's main touch button doesn't react about half the time so I finally was able to convince Dell to send a new exchange. The first one looks fine. Some bleeding on the upper corners backlighting, however you don't notice it in normal use. No dead pixels. If the replacement has any dead pixels I'll probably keep the first one and put up with the touchy touch buttons.
