From what I'm seeing about this product on Amazon and other online retailers is that the sound is fine, but the quality isn't that good since some are complaining about the same failure issue you're having.

If you could try looking for a lower tier one possibly like the AC511 (Sound quality is probably worse), then it's a cheaper alternative to the one you've had to replace twice.

Otherwise, I'd just recommend a wireless Bluetooth speaker or a dedicated speaker setup for your monitor.

You could give the AE515 ago, in the hope you won't have the same problem.

@A51-06​ Thank much for the input.  I looked into the AC511 and it apparently doesn't fit my monitor (U2715H).   My main aim was to find something that clips to the bottom of the monitor to keep as many things off my desk as possible but I may have to go for a bluetooth like you mentioned.

@Andy K​ Thanks much, this was an alternative I was looking at.  I'll give it a shot as I'm done with the AC511m lol.
