E-310: Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 521 w/HT Technology (2.8GHz,800FSB)
Monitor type: 17 inch E176FP Analog Flat Panel
Video Card: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900
Okay. For the past week or so the monitor to the computer I bought my roomie has been stating "Auto Adjust In Progress" whenever you touch the serial plug, Start up windows, Restart windows, any time you initialize a game (you know how games do), and whenever the monitor ITSELF is turned on (yes after windows is already up). The cord is plugged just fine before anyone asks.
This is not a normal behavior. What is the deal here?
The only things worth mentioning is that the game Halflife had been installed on it, and since removed, then about the same time a little while back we had a funny brownout/power outtage. It is on a surge protecter, but they may not always work. We are having a hard time placing what happened closest around when it started.
What I need to know is, would this be a monitor defect, videocard defect, or what?
If anyone has had a similar experience, or knows whats going on in general, I would love it if you could share the information you have, we are at our wits end, as the support line was of no help.
Thank you in advance.
