Cannot change pixel settings, help

My pixel settings are at the lowest possible and everything I view is fuzzy looking.  My system is set on standard PCI Graphics Adaptor (VGA) and pixels are only 640 over 480.  Does anyone know what I can do to change this.  Thanks in advance.

vandy83,

You will need to reinstall the driver for your video card.  Then you will be able to adjust both your resolution (pixel depth) and color depth.  If you have recently reinstalled the operating system, it may be necessary to install the Intel chipset driver and/or the Dell System Software before installing the video card driver.

bwareofware,

If you have just updated your video driver, you can do a "driver rollback" in Windows XP to go back to the previous driver.  Right click on an empty area of your screen, select "Properties" from the drop down menu.  Click the "Settings" tab and then the "Advanced" button.  Click the "Adapter" tab, and then click the "Properties" button next to where it tells you what your video card driver is.  Click the "Driver" tab and then "Driver Rollback" button to rollback to the previous driver.

What model computer do you have?  What version of Windows is installed on your computer?  Have you just reinstalled Windows?  What video card is installed in your computer?

Vandy.....We also need your systems model number in order to assist further.  Is it a Dimension 2400 or 3000 or 4700, etc ?  What video card do you have installed if any.  Some system only have the integrated video and not a true dedicated video card, so this information would also help

Dim 4400
2.6 Ghz 400 FSB
1 Gb 2100 DDR Memory
20 Gb hard drive 7,200
Windows XP Home - SP-2
Leadtek 6600 GT ( AGP ) video
48xCDRW
17 LCD ( 1703 FP )
250 watt power supply

My daughters computer is a Dimension 2400 w/a 17 inch E773 monitor and Integrated Intel 3D AGP Graphics.  We are unable to change the settings on the monitor (lowest) and from reading this forum, probably need to download the driver.  Could you send that to me?

Thanks in advance.
