Pro 14 Plus PB14250 HDMI, E2216H DP, not working
Hello,
I'm connecting a monitor Dell E2216H to a laptop Dell Pro 14 Plus PB14250 with a DP cable and the monitor is not working. I have already selected the input source at the monitor to DP. I had a older Dell laptop and the monitor was working withe a VGA cable. Can you help me to solve this problem?

A Laptop HDMI out port cannot upconvert to a monitor DP in port via a straight HDMI to DP cable. The straight HDMI to DP cable is designed to do the opposite =
Laptop DP out --> DP to HDMI cable --> Monitor HDMI in
Your options are as follows =
Pro 14 Plus PB14250 HDMI out --> HDMI to VGA cable --> E2216H VGA in
Pro 14 Plus PB14250 HDMI out --> HDMI to DP adapter --> E2216H DP to DP cable --> E2216H DP in

Hello,
I forgot to say that i'm using a DP to HDMI cable. The input source in the laptop is HDMI and in the monitor is DP.
