What operating system?

* Click Start -Control Panel -Hardware and Sound
* Under Imaging Devices, double click USB Webcam. Does it have a yellow bang next to it?
* Click the Driver tab at the top
* Click Roll Back Driver

Operating system is: Windows XP Pro with the service pack 3. Also, my Dell Webcam is in my: Control Panel, Scanners and Cameras.  I can't pull up driver info from there.

Is it listed in the device manager?

Chris,

  For the device manager.  I went to: Control Panel, "System" Icon which opened System Properties, clicked on Hardware... Device Driver tab...  Under "Monitors" it says "plug and play monitor".  Under the " Imaging Devices" it shows...  my printer and "Monitor Webcam".    When i hit properties on Webcam it shows:  Manufacturer: Creative Technology Ltd.  Location:  0  Device type:  Imaging Devices

I didn't see "Dell WebCam" listed anywhere, just the above mentioned "Monitor webcam".

Ours is made by Creative so it is there. I do not know why it does not specify Dell.

When I open the Webcam Central, I get a black screen and when I click on settings, it tells me to make sure my video is streaming and it is in a supported video format.  In perinthesis it says " unsupported format include MJPEG"  I'm confussed. :emotion-42:
