Question

I've got a E173FPc monitor here that get some crazy lines on the screen when alot of white is shown.  So if i have a dark wallpaper and no open windows the monitor looks fine, but if you change wallpaper to a bright one, or open a window that shows alot white, little lines start taking over the screen from the left hand side.  monitor does not show lines during self test (just plugged into the wall)  I've replaced both power and data cord, and connected it to several PC's with the same result.   Any ideas?

nspaulding, So the white part of the Self Test does not show these lines, correct? Please list the video cards used in testing this. Is this issue out of box or have you had it for awhile?

Lines do not show up on selftest...   Dispaly adapter = ATI Rage XL PCI   Other monitor of same model have no problems on this adapter.   Had this monitor for a while, but it's been (reportedly) malfunctioning for some time, but as it is still somewhat usable, problem was not reported for some time.
