E2216H, 75Hz

Hi,

I would like to ask about the E2216H model and the possibility to configure its refresh rate at 75Hz. I connected this monitor to the Latitude E5470 laptop, as an extended desktop, through a DisplayPort cable. I tried to configure the monitor at 1920x1080 (recommended resolution) 75Hz refresh rate, but I realised that there is no other option but the 60Hz for this resolution. I should also mention that my graphics card is the Intel HD Graphics 520.

So, I would like to ask the following:

  1. Is there any way to configure the monitor at 75Hz and/or above, while maintaining the resolution at 1920x1080? If yes, how is this possible?
(The main reason for asking this is that the equipment is provided by the company I work for and any monitor at less than 75Hz (even LED/LCD ones) causes me intense headache and eye fatigue)
  2. In case the above is not possible, is there any other Dell monitor that supports refresh rates 75Hz? If yes, could the above laptop support the refresh rates offered by the monitor (even if they are 120Hz or above)?
  3. In general, to what extent a monitor's refresh rate is affected by the graphics card?

Thank you very much for your time.

All the best,
Ioannis
