E2424HS, need help getting sound

Dell Monitor E2424HS has speakers inside. I checked everything for sound the way it should be set up but I get no sound at all. My monitor is connected to a Dell 3670 Inspirion desktop. I have the monitor connected to the tower with VGA and Hdmi cable.  Was hoping someone could help me with this. I don't know what else to do. Have read and checked everything.

    Unplug the vga

    ensure it’s working over hdmi

go into control panel , sound, output.
select monitor as the default output.

you maybe able to do this by right clicking on the speaker at the bottom

    Is Good Troubleshooting

You need a separate cable to connect the speaker input on the monitor to the audio output on the computer.

    Example cable:

Follow Andy K instructions but also enter the E2424HS Menu- Audio and set Speaker to On.

ejn63, The E2424HS does not have an Audio out port?
