EDID Problem with E248WFP

Basically DVI is recognised in vista on boot but upon loading windows the screen goes into power saving mode.

I have tried hundereds of different fix's and none have worked, I was reading up on EDID when I did a check on the EDID the driver shows and the one the screen shows. The only difference was the refresh rate with max was listed correctly in the driver (75hz) but the screen says that its EDID is (100hz).

There have been problems reported when using HD4850 and the refresh rate of the screen and basically wanting to know if you believe that the EDID value is related to the problem
