Monitor E177FP Image Size

Question

Hi all, I am using a E177FP monitor with my laptop- and when I plugged in the monitor recently the image is the correct size horizontally but not the correct size vertically. my laptop display setting is on max at 1280 x 800, but the monitor resolution is on 1280 x 1024, and I can't seem to change it. I have tried doing a factory reset as it says in the manual, but nothing has worked. any ideas? thanks.

It sounds like your multiple display setting has changed to 'Clone'. Changing to 'Dualview' or 'Extended' (depending on your brand of graphics card) will enable independent resolutions for each display. You will find the settings in Display Properties or the Control Panel for you graphics driver.

Thanks gpro- your pointer led me the right direction. Since I've got some intel graphics media accelerator driver I had to go into the properties for that and change it there. Thanks for your help!
