I switched my monitor from a curved 17-inch screen to a flat 21-inch screen (It's a Dell P1130) on which everything appears to be concave.  Is this an illusion or is there an adjustment I can make to fix it?  Any suggestions?

When I started using a flat-screen tube (Dell 19" variety, circa 2002), I had this same problem.  I believe it is just an optical illusion from being used to a convex screen.  You can play with many of the adjustments (such as the bending of the horizontal and vertical alignments), but eventually, as your brain adjusts, it just starts to look normal.

yes, I had the same experience, but after a while you won't want to look at another convex screen :)

Please post the outcome of any suggestions offered - it will assist others who may have a similar problem and encourage those who spend their time trying to help.

(That will fix it!) When I use a curved monitor at work it really bulges, if you are used a flat tube like yours. I find the concave effect on my home Sony FD Tinitron is less/none if I have been using a truly flat LCD at work.
