Monitor Resolution and Sharpness.

Hi Guys. I have just got a new DELL XPS420 Desktop with the E207WFP Monitor. The Monitor looks great and it is crystal clear. I have been using a 15" Packard Bell Notebook for the last 8 months and have got pretty use to the screen size. For some reason the notebook monitor looks a bit sharper. For instance the print in the File, Edit, View, Favorites  etc.. looks darker.  Is it a case of the smaller the screen the clearer it is?        Also what is the best settings for the Brightness and Contrast in the DELL E207WFP Monitor. The 75 factory setting is a little bright. I would be very grateful for any imput...

Brightness and contrast are certainly by user preference, but I have many monitors turned to about 50 brightness while contrast is typically in the 80's to 90's.  Yes, the larger the screen the more "defects" will be seen.  You state the monitor is "crystal clear" so that's a good start.  Fiddle with the settings a bit more.  I think you're on the right track to turn the brightness down.  Now, enjoy!  :smileyhappy:
