P2416D, blinking randomly
Hello, I recently bought a P2416D monitor and I'm running Windows 10 64x.
The monitor randomly blinks for a couple seconds. It's like the picture goes off and then on. The problem doesn't follow a specific pattern and really looks like it happens randomly.
I have read this article about Win10 drivers and it says that there's no need to install drivers.
Windows can see the monitor with no problem, it seems. In fact, in the Device Manager, the monitor is listed as "Dell P2416D(HDMI)".
I used the HDMI cable that came with the monitor. The computer has a VGA output too, but I prefer HDMI so I didn't try VGA.
The resolution I'm using is 1920x1080. The highest resolution available is 2048x1152, but I'd rather not use it.
On this thread for a similar issue the advice is to have the resolution set to 2560x1440 but I don't have that resolution in the list of selectable resolutions.
Frequency is 60Hz, however.
Please help, thanks!

Laptop or desktop? We shipped a DP to DP cable, not HDMI? Page 6. Test computer VGA to monitor VGA to see if the issue is present. Did you install the DDM (Dell Display Manager) software? If yes,
* Open the DDM (Dell Display Manager)
* Click the Auto Mode tab
* For every application listed, change them to Standard and then retest all of those applications. If need be, you can go back and change them to Multimedia and retest for blinking
