P2418HZm, Microsoft Teams echo

Hi,

I did not find a relevant discussion here, so starting a one.

Overall I am very satisfied with my P2418HZm monitor as the conferencing using all-in-one device is much more easier.

However, recently I have started using Microsoft Teams for work and my colleagues are having troublesome echo when I am not on mute. On 1-1 call everything is perfect. When there are multiple people on the call - once another member starts talking, then everyone else gets an echo - like her voice would come out of my monitor's speaker and then back in through the monitor's microphone.

I have tried multiple settings, it shows "echo-cancelling speakerphone", but nothing solves it. This issue does not appear on Zoom, Google Hangouts, but unfortunately, we cannot use it in our organization.

Would be really looking forward to a solution as I do not want to switch over to other devices.

Thanks,

Janis

The private Service Tag number for this P2418HZm shows that the purchased 3 year warranty expired 7 months ago on April 26, 2021.

There is much discussion of Microsoft Teams and echo here.

In addition to muting yourself in Microsoft Teams, also mute the P2418HZm microphone using its front panel button, "Microphone Mute". See pages 33-34 in the online P2418HZm User's Guide. Then test a Microsoft Teams conference call.
