Apologies for missing your post. I think that the 2015 MBP (Macbook Pro) has an HDMI out port and two TB2 (Thunderbolt 2) out ports? Correct? If yes, the provided mDP to DP cable should work.
* Turn both the P2715Q and the MBP off * Connect in this way = MBP TB2 out --> P2715Q mDP to DP cable --> P2715Q DP in port * Turn the MBP on * Turn the P2715Q on * Press the P2715Q Input Source button and choose DP * At this point I am not sure if you have to use the Apple operating system to "find" the external monitor?
