New Dell P3424WEB with integrated mic/webcam loses microphone daily. Easy fix - turn off the monitor and turn back on again, takes about 10 seconds. However, it clearly shouldn't drop the microphone. Video and audio works fine, it's just the mic that doesn't work.
I'm using with a Dell Latitude laptop that's company owned, but the monitor is mine. Got the monitor about 4 weeks ago, and set it up with all the latest and recommended drivers and utilities.
@DELL-Chris M Thanks again, Chris. All of those settings were set as you suggest, apart from fast wake up - I've changed that, I'll let you know if it has an effect - thanks a lot.
@Andy K Hey - no, I don't think that fast wake up has made any difference in particular. There's nothing to suggest Zoom has muted anything - the image that I was showing above is just a "test audio" thing that Zoom has in it - and it's showing that when I run a test there's no input from the mic at all until I restart the monitor.
@DELL-Chris M Thanks Chris. I've enabled and started peripheral manager, with the other still disabled, and I'll see if there's an impact on the service tomorrow morning
Yes, that's the firmware I have, I installed all the recommended drivers, tools and firmware when I received the monitor.
Interesting data point, I've been using external speakers, plugged into the monitor directly because the integrated speakers are poor. Yesterday I removed the speakers from the 3.5 mm Combo Headphone with microphone jack, relying just on internal speakers, and today there's no issue with the microphone.
