S2240L, HDMI or VGA Cable
I have just purchased DELL S2240L Monitor. Box has already contain VGA cable. Give me suggestion regarding, should i use HDMI or VGA cable. What is different between two?? Is there additional hardware requirement for HDMI.

VGA is analog, HDMI is digital. Digital is always preferable, so purchase a DVI-D - HDMI cable. They're readily available. By the way, DVI-D carries the exact same video signals as HDMI (but no audio), just a different connector.

HDMI transmits video and audio and is HDCP compliant. But the monitor does not have audio jacks so the HDMI audio point is null. VGA only transmits video and is not HDCP compliant. They both do the resolution of 1920x1080. Read through the User's Guide:
