S2340T, Stand Problem

ive had this dell s2340T monitor for a while and i have a problem with it. the stand base takes up too much space and i know how to remove it and how to attach it to a monitor arm using an adapter but then i will lose access to all the ports including hdmi and power because they are located in the thick base, the camera and touch is also not working.

Only you can decide whether the aesthetics of a  different mount merit the cost of the loss of the ports.

As for the USB devices (camera and touch), is the USB cable connected properly to the host system?

Some confusion here.

The 2012 released S2340T was never designed by Dell to use a VESA generic stand or VESA monitor arm.

The panel will not work at all if you try to remove it from the stand because every port runs from the stand to the panel =

ejn63 is correct. The S2340T #5 USB-B upstream port must be connected to the computer USB-A port via the provided USB-B to USB-A cable for webcam and touch functionality.

Note, when released, the S2340T was only tested/validated by Dell with Windows Vista/7/8/8.1. If using non-supported Windows 10/11, they must provide the webcam and touch drivers.
