I need help with my U2413 monitor. Is there a way to change the input source without the buttons? The menu buttons are locked and I've tried doing all the solutions on this forum and they are not unlocking. The menu lock section did not work, I've also tried your recommendations and nothing. The monitor is stuck in DVI-D source and I can't change it to anything else. I've plugged HDMI and display port cables but the monitor won't detect the source change. Is there a way to reset the monitor? What else do you suggest?
Try installing Dell Display Manager (DDM) and see if it works (it should). If it does, open a CMD window in the folder where you installed DDM and execute the following command:
DDM.exe /SetControl CA 02
This should unlock the buttons. If it doesn't, try any of the following to change the input source:
* Turn the PC off * Turn the U2413 off * Disconnect every video cable from the PC video card (DVI, HDMI, DP) * Disconnect every cable (Power, Soundbar power, Audio, DP, mDP, DVI, USB) from the rear and side of the U2413 * Press the U2413 power button in for 10 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits) * Reconnect only the power cable and the DVI-D video cable to the U2413 * Connect the other end of the DVI-D cable to the PC video card DVI in port * Turn the U2413 on, then the PC. What happens?
My monitor is stuck in DVI-D mode and none of the buttons of the OSD work. I tried the instructions to unlock the buttons but they still don't work. I also tried calling Tech Support but they want a service tag and this monitor ONLY has a serial number. They won't help me if I don't have a service tag. What other options do I have?
Your U2413 20 digit serial number is MX-0YYGCN-72875-35L-669L. Based on that, the build date was May 21, 2013. The warranty would have expired on May 21, 2016. Unless you have the Dell invoice or reseller invoice showing that you purchased it at a later date inside 3 years from today?
The menu buttons are locked and I've tried doing all the solutions on this forum and they are not unlocking.
Press any button. If the Menu is locked, a lock symbol should appear on screen. Press and hold the #4 Menu button for 10 seconds. This should unlock the OSD Menu.
