U2718Q, red color distortion in corners

Red color distortion in corners of monitor. Extremely bright and very noticeable under all lighting conditions. Well beyond normal glow and bleeding that is expected with an IPS monitor. I have reset and run lcd conditioning, but nothing seems to help. The distortion alternates to a blueish color when a brighter image is shown. I have seen other people having the same issue, but can't figure out a solution.

* Turn the monitor and computer off
* Disconnect all cabling from the monitor (Power, USB, DP, mDP, HDMI, etc.)
* If a mechanical button, press and hold in the monitor power button for 15 seconds. If not, just wait 30 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the monitor
* Run the BID (Built-in Diagnostics), page 51
* If you see the issue on the BID colored screens, the monitor is faulty. Read this

A new thread is not needed.

"but I didn't receive this one until May 2018"

The original U2718Q warranty start and end dates apply to all replacements. An exchanged/replacement monitor does not get a "new" 3 year warranty extension. Do you have the original Dell invoice? It should state the invoice date which is the start of the 3 year warranty.

This issue with the bleeding red corners is back on my replacement U2718Q monitor. It has been almost 3 years since it occurred. This time though it is only happening on the right side of the monitor. See the attached photos.

I have completed all the same diagnostics steps as before to solve the problem, turning the monitor and computer off running the BID, reconnecting cables, etc.

Please let me know if this will still be covered under the 3 year warranty and if a replacement will be provided.

The service event for the monitor is showing the warranty expired in Jan 2021, but I didn't receive this one until May 2018 so I assumed the 3 year warranty would still be available. Please let me know if this will still be covered and if a replacement could be provided.

Got it. I was just checking to see if the warranty was extended with the replacement. Looks like I'm out of luck. I'll have to find another monitor to replace this one. Thanks for the help!
