U2719D, no more display only backlight

I got a Dell UltraSharp U2719D for nearly 5 years, and all of a sudden, the image turned weird. Looks like an issue with the backlight, or maybe something else. I tried so see if it might work on another input, but same issues on all inputs (Displayport, HDMI).

Any ideas what might be causing this? Or, if something can be done to fix it?

Thanks for the answer.

Was that picture taken while the video card cable was still attached to the computer and the U2719D? If yes, try this =

* Turn the computer off
* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the monitor
* Press the monitor power button in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits)
* Reconnect the power cable and one video cable to the U2719D and computer
* Turn the computer on, then the monitor

Thnx for thinking with me on this issue ...

Just tried what you suggested, with all cables disconnected, the 8 sec. power-thingy ...

After reconnecting the power cable, and turning on the power of the monitor, still the same issue (see below) ... only the power cord connected, no video.

To me, it looks like the backlight is still working, but the LCD, or the signals to the LCD are gone ....but I might be wrong.

Gonna try to keep it totally unplugged overnight, and see what might happen tomorrow, so fingers crossed. 20230509_205310.jpg

Tried the monitor again after a few days without power, and also with other input sources. Still, no solution ... guess this monitor is for the trashbin as far as I can see.

Gonna try to open the housing and see if I can spot some fysical damage on some components, but not expect too much of that to be honest.
