U2722DE, doesn't power on after firmware update

I have a 4-month-old Dell UltraSharp 27 USB-C Hub Monitor - U2722DE.

Today (4/10/2023), my Windows 11 popped up a box suggesting I should update the U2722DE display manager, firmware, etc. I went ahead and updated all.  After a couple of minutes, it finished updating the firmware, and the monitor powered off by itself and now I can no longer power it on.

I unplugged everything (video, USB, etc.), change the power cord, pressed the power button for more than 5 seconds, etc. Let's say I tried everything suggested by the manual but the monitor doesn't turn on anymore, is dead.

I know I can replace it under warranty, but I rather fix it than have the hassle of sending it back, waiting for the new one, etc.

Can somebody help?

Thanks in advance,

Javier

The only fix I know of is to replace it. The replacement will be refurbished, not new.

Click the DELL-Cares username. On the right, click, "Send this user a private message". Share the private data below with them in that private message =

Thanks Chris M, I'll do. Still, a bricked monitor after an official firmware update worries me. I hope it is just bad luck on my part, otherwise, Dell will have a real problem soon.

I have the same problem on the same model. Tried to update from Firmware M3T106 to M3T107. Monitor just went black and did not come alive again.

Sorry to hear that. I went to our IT department, replaced it, warned them about this issue, and recommended to stop buying this model for our team.

This also has happened to me.

The same happened to me yesterday when Dell support was working on my XPS 13.  Dell is replacing the monitor but the rash of problems with the firmware upgrade in the last couple of months is concerning.
