Tried with:

Mac Mini M1 HDMI + USB-A
Thinkpad usb-c (+USB-A)

If monitor is NOT connected then I can get past "Initializing" and there is other error that monitor is not found. But when monitor is connected (and all other cables removed from monitor) then it is stuck "Initializing"

It does not matter which firmware I choose latest or older.

Reset to factory settings helped and I was able to update to M3T103 firmware, but it did not solve flickering issue.

@johnsmith222

We did reply to that U4021QW user. They never contacted Get Help Now agent to setup service so not sure of conclusion.

If the ThinkPad shows the same flickering issue, click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. Provide to them the private Service Tag and all of your troubleshooting.
