You lost me. Why would you change the U3417W optimal resolution of 3440x1440 to 1720x1440? I do not see that resolution on the list =

Sorry, let me try putting my dire attempts another way.

After installing Dell Display Manager, this resoultion of 1720x1440 appeared to me as a choice. I thought it is desired, as it is half of native 3440x1440. Also it works ok in single screen mode.

I tried to set two PCs with 1720x1440 each to match total 3440x1440 in PBP. Or maybe I just should configure it differently then?

I also missed before the note from picture you have given: "NOTE: the images under PBP will be displayed at the center of the screen, not full screen" - does it mean that I cannot use full panel in PBP ? Or do i have to limit each side's (left and right PBP) to smaller resolution with correct aspect ratio?

* No idea. All you can do is test it. I think you need to read through the User's Guides on PBP to get a better understanding of what you can and cannot do.

Ok, with a help of a friend of mine, i was able to set up everything as desired.

If somone has a simmilar problem:

It looks like windows 10 by default matches the size of a picture by a "aspect ratio" principles, and those somehow are not playing along with screen's drivers. When changed manually in NVIDIAs Control Panel (i have heard same trick works for Radeons) to Full-screen and resolution to 1720x1440 it works as desired, i.e. fullscreen at correct aspect ratio on half of the panel.

@Dell team, I am not sure if those information of supported resolutions and "full panel" for PBP are just for liabilities or what, but are really misguiding. I would expect more proven data for company that aims high-end segment, especially that hardware is really good.

Very helpful! Adjusting the settings in my Nvidia control panel fixed this issue for me as well. I agree that it should be something that is better communicated by Dell for a high-end monitor that supports two simultaneous inputs.

For clarification within Nvidia Control Panel (v 8.1.940.0) for any others experiencing the problem, click "Change resolution" under the Display category, then set the resolution. Then Click "Adjust desktop size and position" under the same Display category, and hit the Full-screen option under scaling.
