U4025QW, TB4 port stopped working (no PD, USB-C connection, or video)

Dell U4025QW

Dell U4025QW

Hi,

I have a U4025QW that has worked via the TB4 cable to provide power, video, and USB connectivity to my laptop. The port on the monitor appears to have stopped working. There is all of a sudden no power, video, or USB connectivity coming from the monitor over the provided USB-C/TB4.

The laptop works fine with an external TB4 dock.

Has anyone had this happen to them? It was working fine one day and when I plugged in to work from home a few days later the port just appears to have stopped working.

I've tried factory reset, unplugging monitor for 30 minutes, firmware update (though it fails at 75% every time - have tried with 2 different Windows computers).

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks in advance!

There are two other threads below with similar issue. Read through them.

U4025QW, TB4 no video after M3T102 firmware

U4025QW, TB4 no video, Macbook Pro M3 Max, macOS Sonoma 14.4.1

Your U4025QW shipped on March 9, 2024. Firmware M3T102 was released two days prior so it might already be installed?

Using that PC if ports are available or another PC, connect to the U4025QW #3 HDMI 2.1 port or #4 DisplayPort 1.4 port to get video.

Then open the Menu OSD- More Information- Display Info (Page 86 in the online U4025QW User's Guide). What Firmware is currently installed?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm able to connect with both HDMI and DP 1.4 directly. The OSD is showing firmware version M3T101.

The TB4/USB-C power delivery and video stopped working on M3T101. I tried updating the firmware in case it would fix it

I've tried multiple times to update the firmware on via 2 different computers. Once plugged in with USB-C to USB-C and the other with USB-A (monitor) to USB-C (computer).

I've tried the standalone firmware updater as well as through Dell Display Manager.

It gets to about 75% and then the monitor resets with the firmware update tool saying the firmware update failed.

Every time the monitor is powered on there is a message indicating "Firmware update was not completed. Please update the monitor firmware again."

The Dell TB4 cable does provide power delivery when plugged into a USB-C power adapter, but nothing from the monitor.
