U4924DW, not working with retail longer USB-C cable?

Dell U4924DW

Dell U4924DW

I recently bought a Dell U4924DW and because the included UCB-C to USB-C cable is to small to connect to my MacBook Air M1, I bought a 2M Satechi braided USB 3.1 Cable USB-C male - USB-C male. Charging works ok but there is no signal. With original cable works ok. How can this be fixed?

For anyone interested in a longer cable the Hoco US06 Braided USB 3.2 Cable USB-C male - USB-C male 2m length works ok with U4924DW and MacBook Air M1.

How can this be fixed?
* It cannot be fixed by Dell. The U4924DW was only tested/validated with the provided 1M/3.2ft USB-C to USB-C cable. This restriction is spelled out in the online U4924DW User's Guide, page 15 =

That is very disappointing for a new monitor. You shall fix that with firmware upgrade soon.
* No, as I stated, Dell is only validating the U4924DW with the shipped cables. So nothing to "fix". DELL-Chris M
