UP3214Q/UP2414Q - 1/2 screen issue and/or No picture after powering off, then on
I got some more problems with the UP3214Q: Every couple of computer starts, once I get the login screen displayed, only half the screen shows a picture (the right hand side), with the left half being black. After login, I get the full picture. Prior to the login screen, I also have full screen picture (BIOS screen, Windows loading screen). The second issue is even more annoying: If I power off the device while my PC is still running, then power it back on, I will never get a picture again. No amount of hitting random keys and klicking about (I can hear windows and moan in the background If I manage to blindly hit the wrong option) will get back any picture. Neither will switching to another input then back, nor will unplugging the displayport cable from the machine, or putting the machine to sleep and returning it back from sleep. The only way to get the picture back is to shut down the shut down the machine completely, then boot it up again. Is this supposed to happen or is something wrong with my display?

Here's a trick that works for me when I hit the Win 8 login screen and half the display is black. I proceed to log in and then on the side of the monitor that has something displayed I change the monitor's resolution to something other than the default and apply.. I then change the resolution back to default. I then have no further issues until reboot.

Question for nVidia owners; do you have correct display images in the following games, Tombraider (2013), DeusEx HR (directors cut) Hitman Absolution and Far Cry3? I got fov problems, incorrect menuscaling etc. I wonder it's the game or the drivers of the GPU.

For our notes, I see humba has tested the newest 332.21 nvidia driver. Has anyone else tested them?http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/71701/en-us
humba,
Did the usage of this driver on your GeForce GTX 780 Ti stop the :
Blank screen when switching the Display Port mode from DP1.1a to DP1.2?
Split screen issue?

Chris - yes. I tried 332.21 quite a while ago and ran with it for a while, then moved back to 331.93. Frankly, 331.92 was a bit more stable.
You said that you had info from Nvidia that implied that they are aware of these issues? Can you elaborate on this?
thanks
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.
SW: Dell Display Manager 1.20.0.1437
SW: NVIDIA Driver 331.65 (NOTE: there are a few slightly newer drivers like 331.93... I will try these, although I don't know if there are bits I there that do anything for MST etc) - Now 331.93 and also 332.21 - no changes in behavior.
HW: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Hydro (3GB)
HW: Using the Dell-Supplied Display Port cable
HW: Asus ROG Maximus VI Formula (16 GB, 4770k)

Hello Chis,
the 332.21 has more problems. No problem is fixed; and after logging in, Windows shows only an half screen. to fix this, you have to change the resolution to another one and than back to the correct one. --> This Problem did not appear under 331.93.

HI all,
Just for reference, my UP2414Q has had no issues with dual setup. Using theDELL supplied Mini DP cable
UP2414Q -> 332.21 Nvidia - on GTX 760 ASUS CU2
U2413M -> HDMI to DVI cable - HD4000
MSI GD80a Z77
Intel i7-33770k
Windows 8.1 Enterprise
Tested tuning off the UP2414Q monitor, all icons etc moved to U2413HM as expected.
Sleeping all OK
Reboot all OK
Good luck guys. Hopefully a stable driver is released for your screens soon.

I am having the same issue.
Happens Asus Rampage IV Extreme & P9X79-E WS, 2x EVGA Titans (happens in Single, dual or SLI). When only the UP3214Q is connected, POST screen is fine, but after getting to the desktop, only half screen is visible (and always the right hand) . If I connect a 2nd monitor [Dell U2711 and NEC PA301W are the ones i tried), both halves of the screen became visible for a second, flicker, then work normally. When i disconnect the new monitor, desktop stays fine. However after reboot, the monitor usually goes to sleep after POST (post is fine) (and need to actually disconnect it from power to wake up again).
Quite annoying. For me, its unusuable in the current form (its for work) - i am planning to file for a return. I quite like the display (actually, its stunning) - but i does not work at 60hz reliably. I did try to get it to work for 3 weeks (have other commitments than to struggle with a monitor, so had not enough time)
I am not sure if its an NVIDIA only issue, as the 3214 does not work with the Mac Pro 2013 at all in 60hz. Both the Sharp and Asus one do. (MacPro 2013 uses a lower clocked variant of the AMD Firepro W9000)

The 332.21 WHQL driver is the one I initially tried with the monitor and it manifested all of the common problems as observed by others.
While attempting to use the monitor at 60hz and the DisplayPort 1.2 setting:
This is with Windows 8.1 64bit and a GTX 780.

Hello,
yesterday I tried the Accell Displayport 1.2 cable like ABErlinger told: Behaviour is the same. Nothing is better with this cable.
