why no remote ?

had myself a 2408 wfp  recently ...my first lcd monitor for pc ... i'm just wondering why ther isnt a remote control supplied with this thing as i'm  also using it for my hd dvd player ... no remote = asking for the button on monitor to break imo

 

abit slack for 400 notes ... u get tv for 50 quid with remotes :)

50 quid for a tv for your dvd player, sounds like a good solution. And you can leave your monitor to be a computer screen as it was meant to be

completely unhelpful and crass remark.......

 

its a full hi-def monitor .. buying a 50 quid tv is totally impractical ....in these days of hd many people will be using thier monitor not just as pc screen but to diplay movies on as well.

 

i remote for this should be standard imo

I agree, the more recent products are attempting to be 'cross-over products' (about time too), and I can't imagine the addition of an IR receiver, and remote with the same buttons as those on the bezel, will add costs above a nominal amount. Try it out Dell
