After Patching Windows 12r2 Not Abel To Add It Within Networker

Hi there,

We are not able to define a the client for the server Windows 12r2 server (PTFLX-T-SQL01).

This machine is configured wihin a DMZ, like some other servers who are working fine within networker 8.2.1.4

It concerns a new VM Windows2012 SQL server,initially patches with the most recent MS services packs and configured as SQL server.

After configuring it we attended to added within the networker, what unfortunately not is not possible.

For troubleshout purpose we created a new server windows 2012 server, without the most recent pacthes, PTFLEX-SQL01-TS and also placed it in the DMZ. Configuring this machine within Networker doesnt give any issues. So we think the problem we experience must be caused by one of the SPs . Anyone with such simal problem of not adding the client within networker after patching a windows server.

Immediately after the first step adding the client gives the next error message:

connecting to host ptflx-sq01-prod failed. Unable to connect to server.

Unable to authenticate with server ptflx-sq01-prod: authentication error, why=server rejected credtial

server rejected credentials usually means communication was established, but there was mismatch between auth keys.  Try to remove client key on server first.

Hi Hrvoje, But this is a new server, would know what auth key to remove. There is no need for authentication between the client and the Networker Backup server.
