backup failed because of other clients interfering
hi,
i am facing a problem while backing up a certain client. the problem is that, fp2-srvr is the passive node in a two node cluster. when doing a nslookup for fp2-srvr from the backup server, it is returning the private IP address of the cluster. for my knoweldge it shoudn't. so i removed it from DNS and it still there. then the problem was solved and the cluster was backed up successfully.
now, i tried to backup a certain client and created for it a new group. so, the situation is: a group contains one client only which is not clustered. i tried to back it up and it was corrupted saying that restarting nsrmmd#7 on fp2-srvr, and fp2-srvr is not even included in the group. so, i started the networker services on fp2-srvr, and the backup was successful.
why was the backup process trying to restart nsrmon on fp2-srvr and it wasn't even in the group that was backed up?
thank you

The only issue is the performance overhead caused when Networker server keeps checking its nsrmmd on all storage nodes.
In one of my low configuration backup servers, the server itself failed due to lack of resources as it was retrying starting nsrmmd on a storage node which was not working.

what if i created two backup groups and split their times that no one will interfere with the other backup process. will one of the group still be interfered with the other and trying to restart nsrmmds of other group clients.
should the networker services of all clients be started even if they are not included in the bachup group?
thank you
